The Suez Canel Authority reports that all the ships that were stuck have escaped, writes Reuters. This includes the last 61 ships of the total of 422 ships that have been in line.
On Monday, workers succeeded in unleashing one of the world’s largest container ships, the Ever Given, after the ship blocked the important trade channel for six days.
Around 12 percent of world trade is transported through the Suez Canal, according to the Danish shipping giant Mærsk.
The 400-meter-long ship got stuck in the Suez Canal after a sandstorm with strong winds in the area.
