O massacre in the American city of Orange, California, who left four dead, including a nine-year-old boy, on Wednesday (31), was committed by a 44-year-old man who knew the victims, police said on Thursday (1), ruling out the possibility of a random act.
The other fatalities were a man and two women, Orange Police Department lieutenant Jennifer Amat told a news conference. Another woman and the sniper were hospitalized, he added.
Authorities identified the suspect as Aminadab Gaxiola Gonzalez, a resident of the nearby town of Fullerton, saying he entered a company called Unified Homes on Wednesday afternoon and locked the gates with a bicycle lock.
Authorities recovered a semi-automatic weapon, pepper spray and handcuffs.
The Orange killing, located about 30 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, marked the third episode of fatal shots in the United States in less than a month.
