One of them reveals Floyd’s final minutes inside the store where he was accused of using a fake $ 20 bill. The security guard had a banana in his hand, smiling, talking and close to a friend. Visibly excited, he even danced on the premises.
The store’s cashier, Christopher Martin – one of the last people to speak to Floyd before he was arrested – said he was apparently on drugs, but able to talk. In the deposition, he said he felt guilty because, if he had not accepted the note, he could have avoided the situation.
Images from another camera show the time of Floyd’s arrest. One of the policemen seems to measure his heartbeat, squeezing his wrist, and telling the others that he was not feeling anything else. Despite this, Chauvin remained with his knee on Floyd’s neck for three minutes after that.
These videos have not yet been discussed in court. In all of them, the policeman seems quite calm. Charles McMillian, who witnessed the timing of the approach, wept in court on recalling the case, as well as other witnesses present in the Minneapolis court.
