A 25-year-old man, identified as Kent Ryan Tomao, was stabbed by a group of teenagers 15 months ago and unknowingly kept the knife in his body. The presence of the object was only detected during routine work examinations. The case happened in the Philippines. The information is from the British newspaper Daily Mail.
After the attack, Kent Ryan was taken to a public hospital and the person who attended him only sewed up his wound and did not do an x-ray, according to local press reports.
The boy only discovered that something was wrong when he got a new job, in a mine in the Philippine province of Agusan del Sur.
Kent Ryan was shocked to see the exam and found that the knife blade was still lodged in his chest, close to his lungs.
“I always wonder why I feel any pain in my chest when the weather is cold, but I had no idea that there was still a knife in there,” reported Kent Ryan.
For local media, he said that he intends to return to the public health center in Kidapawan to remove the object, but that he does not intend to sue the place and neither the professional who attended it.
