Flight to reveal baby gender fails and two die

A plane that performed acrobatics to reveal the sex of a baby, during a gender reveal party, crashed and crashed on Tuesday (30), killing two crew members. The accident occurred at the Nichupte Lagoon in Cancún, in the Mexican Caribbean.

According to the website La Vanguardia, a family was organizing a party on a yacht in the lagoon, when the plane flew over the vessel and released colored smoke that would reveal the child’s sex.

A video that circulated on social networks shows the moments that preceded the accident. A man shouts “it’s a girl, it’s a girl” and you can quickly see a pink trail left by the aircraft.

Then, the aerial vehicle seems to lose control and falls into the water, much to the surprise of the revelation party guests.

Emergency and civil protection services in the state of Quintana Roo, in the southeast of the country, responded to an emergency request at about 4 pm local time, according to the La Prensa Latina vehicle.

According to a note from the president of the Quintana Roo Nautical Association, Fernández Millán, officials from various emergency services were called in to rescue passengers. The teams go to the accident site with personal watercraft.

One of the crew members died before the rescuers arrived and his death was confirmed during the rescue maneuvers. The second passenger was rescued while still alive, but died on the spot while receiving first aid.

The plane involved in the accident was a Cessna 206 model and had taken off from the island of Holbox, in the northern tip of the state of Quintana Roo.

The aircraft was supposed to land in an area of ​​tourist hotels in Cancún, but ended up diving into the lagoon.
