– It is an expected development, which has been lower than in many other countries. And then there are some that you do not know if have been infected. He believes the real number of infected in Norway is somewhere up to 200,000.

– Too early to conclude after Easter

According to NTB, municipal chief physician John David Johannessen says that it is too early to conclude about how this year’s Easter holiday has affected the spread of infection, but believes it is positive that the increase in infection compared with the previous week is not greater.

– In the previous seven days, we reported an average of 25 new cases of infection per day, and in the seven days before that, an average of 40 new cases were reported per day. We still expect that it will take a few days before we can say something about the infection trend after the Easter holidays, says the municipal chief.

Moss: – Good at following the rules

– At Easter, we have had low infection rates. This is because Mossers have been good at following the corona rules, because good work is being done with testing and tracking and because we have such strict measures in Moss, says municipal chief Kristian Krogshus to Moss Avis on Wednesday.

The municipalities in the former Østfold county report 69 new cases of infection in the last 24 hours, reports NTB.

Fredrikstad has the most new cases with its 22. Here, 21 of the infected have a known route of infection, the municipality states on its website.
