The midfielder Fredy Guarín, former Vasco da Gama and currently at Millionarios, in Colombia, was arrested on Thursday (1), at his residence, for alleged assaults on family members.

In videos that went viral on the internet, the player can be seen bloodied while he is reluctant to police conduct. He appears to be in a drunken state and tries to get rid of the officers abruptly.

According to reports in the newspaper “El País”, the Colombian was reportedly denounced by his own family after assaulting his own father and other relatives. He was taken to the hospital, where he continued to argue and fight with authorities.

Guarín played in the 2019 Brazilian Championship for Vasco. His passage was marked by the constant struggle against the scale and also by personal problems, such as the end of the relationship with the model Sara Uribe.

He only took the field seven times for the new club and missed last Monday’s training on private grounds. The midfielder has been receiving criticism from fans because of his excess weight.
