A furious octopus attacked a swimmer who was swimming on the beach de Geographe Bay, in Dunsborough, in Western Australia.

Geologist Lance Karlson was with his two-year-old daughter looking at shells in the sea when he witnessed the octopus attacking a seagull on the water’s surface. The video went viral on the internet. The information is from the website nine.com.au.

As Karlson came closer to record the scene, he noticed the octopus swimming quickly towards him and the animal threw its tentacles at him and his daughter before retreating.

The man, who was hit in the arm and the back of the head, swam back to the coast in pain. On a social network, Karlson wrote: “he (octopus) decided that my daughter and I deserved a beating! Later, I discovered your home among a crab graveyard“.
