VIDEO – Dog run over in front of the Samu base is attended by rescuers in Blumenau

On the morning of this Wednesday, 31, around 7:20 am, a driver ran over a dog in front of Samu’s base on Rua Ari Barroso, in Salto do Norte neighborhood, in Blumenau, and fled the place without providing help to the animal.

The rescuer, Eder Castanho de Melo, said he heard the car brake around 30 to 40 meters and ran out of the base believing it was a person being run over.

In the video it is possible to hear the rescuers informing that the puppy, approximately 6 years old, has an injured spine.

Melo informed the report that the animal is badly injured.

Now, rescuers await the arrival of the Prevention and Recovery Center for Domestic Animals (CEPREAD) in Blumenau, so that they collect the animal and send it to the proper veterinary care.
