Russell was adopted with a few months to live and his owners soon realized that there was something wrong with him. He was very quiet, less playful and willing than a puppy used to be. When they took him to the vet, they discovered the diagnosis of canine parvovirus and had to start treatment quickly.
During treatment, Russell was in obvious distress from the illness, barely moving. That was when its owner had the idea of using music to help the dog out of it. He picked up a guitar and started playing for the pet every day.
“I noticed that it was from there that we started to create a true bond,” he said.
From the second week on, Russell began to improve and the bond created with his owner and the guitar were never destroyed.
