A video recorded in the corridor of the largest hospital in the Serra shows health professionals treated with recovery. They play instruments, clap their hands and sing one of the patient’s favorite traditional songs: ‘Do Fundo da Grota’, by the musician Baitaca. There were also balloons at the celebration.

“The choice of music has a feeling for the moment. The bottom of the grotto is where there is a spring of water and what it meant for him is that where water flows there is life ”, details Liz Ribeiro Camargo, Ney’s wife.

The panelist, also in Serra, was hospitalized because of the coronavirus on March 21, but two days later his condition worsened and he had to be intubated in the ICU. Now, he follows the treatment in the infirmary.

Patients who win Covid-19 are discharged can choose music. The hospital’s nursing technician responsible for bringing some joy to the place is Rodrigo Chaves Medeiros. Before working in the field he was a musician and, therefore, decided to use his talent for music also in the hospital.

He who plays the harmonica in the songs requested by the patients and also has a guitar that is already in the hospital for those moments.
