The incident happened on February 13. Kelly Sills, 47, a resident of the city of Baton Rouge, did not go through the temperature check in the park and went to a restaurant inside Disney World. There, he was approached by a security guard. The visitor screamed and refused to leave.
See below a report from Fantastic 2020 about the reopening of theme parks.
Security guards told him he would be charged with trespassing.
According to the police report, he replied, “I paid $ 15,000 (R $ 85,600). You can’t accuse me of trespassing if I paid $ 15,000,” he replied, already handcuffed. ”
When he was escorted by security guards, he changed his mind and asked for his temperature to be measured.
“Can you take my temperature before you kick me out, please?” He asks.
The security guard replies: “They are going to do this in jail”.
According to Florida court data, he claimed to be innocent of trespassing in a private area.
Sills told the Washington Post that when he entered the park, he got confused and used one of the exit routes. Thus, he did not pass the temperature test, nor did he notice the mistake.
According to the newspaper, he blames park guards for not managing the incident well – he compared the guards to mobsters and Nazis.
He was going to spend five days in Florida with his family, but he was arrested the first night.
According to the newspaper “Orlando Sentinel”, other visitors have already refused to follow health protocols to avoid the coronavirus in the park. Disney World employees were pushed around, had to hear screams, and have also been spat out for asking customers to respect the rules imposed for the prevention of Covid-19.
