Legion is adding a 60 FPS mode to Xbox Series X

If you’ve played Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you’ll know that it looks visually fantastic (with lightning tracking!), But there’s a big downside – it only works at 30 frames per second on consoles.

Since launch, Ubisoft has been bothered with requests for a 60 frames per second performance mode for Watch Dogs: Legion on next-generation systems, and now the development team has confirmed that it is officially underway:

“60fps for the next generation consoles are in development and we will announce the exact release dates in our future”

We are taking over for “next generation consoles”, Ubisoft means Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S, but given the lower specifications of the Xbox Series S, we will have to wait and see if the performance mode is possible on that system.

It should be noted that Ubisoft released this information on April Fool’s Day 2021 (!), But we would be very, very surprised if this were just some kind of horrible joke. That would leave many people very disappointed if that were so!
