The G-Squad GSW-H1000 line, of robust design, costs 700 dollars and has several sensors.
Casio G-Shock with Wear OS is the toughest on the market
If Apple definitely marked the smartwatch market, G-Shock marked a line of robust watches for more demanding use scenarios. Speaking of these “tough guys”, this week a rumor has emerged that the Apple Watch may get a robust version later this year.
Regarding Casio, the GSW-H1000 model, part of the brand’s robust G-Squad Pro line, has a number of sporting features including the monitoring of 15 physical activities and 24 training options. In addition, this watch is the first G-Shock model with a color LCD screen.
This version of the G-Shock is one of the most robust on the market. The watch case is made of shock-resistant titanium and the device withstands the pressure exerted by water in dives up to 200 meters deep.
In addition to this physical characteristic, the GSW-H1000 includes multiple sensors such as heart rate, altitude, air pressure and integrated GPS. The data collected in real time can be shared with the G-Shock Move app.
LCD screen “two in one”
The device’s dual screen combines a monochrome LCD display for the time display with another color LCD screen. This allows you to view other data from the apps that a traditional smartwatch offers.
The system allows the user to adjust the information and adapt the displays to the preferences of the user.
Pricing and availability
According to Casio itself, this model will be available from May 2021. The G-Shock GSW-H1000 smartwatch will have three color variations: blue, red and black. The smartwatch will be sold in the USA for 700 dollars, about 600 euros in Portugal.
