According to new information, the Apple has no plans to launch a new iPhone SE Plus this year, or the next, and that’s because the company could present a radical change in its design, like a notched screen.
Apple may adopt it by using a small hole to house the front camera on the iPhone SE Plus. The information comes from Ross Young, who predicts that this equipment will arrive with a 6.1-inch screen, but only in 2023, and could be the first accessible model to have such a screen. Assuming that this decision will eventually materialize, Apple will not be able to reuse any previous iPhone designs, because all iPhone 13 models are programmed to arrive with a notch, albeit smaller compared to the present in the iPhone 12 series.
iPhone SE Plus only in 2023 and with a new screen
Earlier, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had already revealed that Apple could launch some iPhone models with a perforated screen in 2022. This could mean that the tech giant may have to reuse a design from one of the models in the iPhone 2022, when you launch this iPhone SE Plus. Judging only by the size of the screen, it is possible that Apple could reuse the chassis of the iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Pro if it adheres to a 6.1-inch screen for both devices.
Kuo also added that the iPhone SE Plus does not have support for Face ID, but features Touch ID that is integrated with the Power button, which is mounted on the side. That is, it uses the same solution as the iPad Air 4, which was the first device of the brand to present the Touch ID on that button, therefore, the use of the same type of biometrics on an iPhone should not be ruled out. However, the launch of this device is still a few years away, and Apple’s plans may change significantly in the near future.
