A Arm made known these days the latest developments for the next generation of your architecture chips.

This processor is backward compatible, although it features new security features as well as AI, processing or performance.

As new capabilities of Armv9 will allow “accelerating the shift from general-purpose computing to more specialized computing in all applications,” said Arm in a press release.

Although without giving a precise date, it is known that the first Armv9-based chips will be available later this year.

In the past five years, more than 100 billion Arm-based chips have been sold and the company estimates that 100% of the world’s shared data will soon be processed at Arm.
