A Casio announced a new version of its iconic G-Shock, but this time with the Wear OS, the Google operating system. O smartwatch with the model GSW-H1000 will have a price of around € 650 and will be available in Blue, Red and Black.

And since it’s a G-Shock, it’s a water resistant device up to 200 meters deep and shock resistant, and a wareble dedicated to all those who practice outdoor sports. As expected, the GSW-H1000 comes with many of the features expected from a smartwatch dedicated to sports enthusiasts.

It features an optical heart rate sensor and Casio’s integrated software supports 15 activities, and 24 internal exercise options. The watch is compatible with GPS and has an integrated compass, altitude sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope.

Casio G-Shock GSW-H1000 arrives with Wear OS

Coming with Wear OS, you are guaranteed to have support for Google Assistant and Google Fit, which can download the respective applications from Google Play. In terms of hardware, the watch has a 1.2-inch double-layer LCD screen with 360 x 360 resolution. It is a monochrome “Allways On” screen with a color LCD panel.

The battery life is estimated at about a day and a half if you use the color screen, extending up to a month if you use the watch only for timing and sensors. According to Casio, it takes about three hours to fully charge the battery.
