Users Galaxy A70 can celebrate: Samsung started to release the update for Android 11 in Brazil. The latest version of the system had been released a few weeks ago in Ukraine, and arrives this week with One UI 3.1. The smartphone was launched in 2019, with Android 9 Pie.
The action follows Samsung’s update schedule, posted here on Tecnoblog in December. According to the calendar, the Galaxy A70 would receive Android 11 until the month of May, as well as the Galaxy A21s, A31s, A50, A80, A71 and the Galaxy Tab S6 and Tab S6 Lite. In all, more than 40 devices will be updated.
What’s new in One UI 3 with Android 11
With One UI 3, the Galaxy A70 receives visual improvements that make transitions smoother. In addition, the interface is cleaner, with more functional widgets and a more organized notification area. In addition, Samsung brought the quick settings buttons further down, making it easier to use with one hand on larger screens.
The camera will also be improved with adjustments in autofocus and zoom, with the aid of artificial intelligence.
Galaxy A70 will have security updates for four years
It is still unclear whether this will, in fact, be the last major update of the Galaxy A70 – that is, with an entirely new version of Android. However, the phone is not on Samsung’s list of models that will receive Android version updates for up to three years.
Still, security updates are guaranteed for a long time, which keeps the phone functional. Samsung includes the A70 in a relationship with the models that will receive the patches for four years.
You can check if the update with Android 11 is already available on your smartphone by going to “Settings”> “Software Update”.
