Every year PUBG celebrates the 1st of April with some special activity and, with the milestone of the 4th anniversary of the game, Krafton decided to do something different this time.
She announced the launch, inside the PUBG lobby, of the game PlayerOmnom’s Battlegrounds, or just POBG, a top-down shooter in which you need to defeat heavily armed chickens that try to take over the world.
The game will be available between today (1st) and April 12th for PC, and between April 8th and 12th for consoles, within PUBG itself.
There will also be the distribution of exclusive kits to the public, in partnership with KFC, and meal vouchers through lives with various influencers, ranging from the pro-player sparkingg to Pabllo Vittar.

Originally launched in 1991, POBG is a top-down shooter whose objective is to defeat an army of heavily armed chickens that try to dominate everything they see ahead. With a pleasant visual style and a strong comedy tone, the game gave birth to the first versions of what would become the maps of Erangel, Karakin and Sanhok, in addition to inspiring the creation of PUBG.
“The original POBG had a problem before it was released in arcades across the United States,” said Herman Havoc, PUBG’s development leader. “An undiscovered defect in the manufacture of motherboards led to a series of fires and power outages across the country, but that happened in the 1990s. No one was hurt, but we still needed to recover and destroy all known POBG cabinets . But the game was too good to keep it still, so we figured out how to make it work on modern, ready-made hardware, now you can play it in PUBG. One game within another. ”
The celebrations, however, do not stop there: to celebrate this surprise launch, in partnership with the KFC network, PUBG prepared a series of activities with the distribution of prizes, through several influencers, namely: aXt, CarolSG, Cid (Unsaved), Gaules, Magalzão, Netenho, Neves, Novela Told, Nyvi Estephan, Pava, Gusang, Rebeca Trans, Samira Close, Shevii, SkipNhO, Tecnosh, TheDarkness, BigHead, Pansa, Abak, PutuDonald, RomanovGamer, NecronAQN, Sayuri Mattar, sparkingg, DJMaloka, ReleeN, dilera, Lula, Gabriel Sotobello and Pabllo Vittar.
If you want to bill vouchers for a free meal from the KFC restaurant chain, follow the transmissions that will take place while the POBG is available.
In them, the influencers will receive a POBG kit, with t-shirt, sock, thematic cap and, of course, a bucket of fried chicken, in addition to distributing the vouchers to the public.
In the official PUBG Discord, three kits will be distributed with t-shirts, socks and thematic cap of the action, between tomorrow (2) and Sunday (4), with the winners announced on social networks, on Monday (5). The rules for participating will be included in the official post.
Last but not least, tomorrow will start a special edition of Quebra-Pau, a competition promoted by the PUBG team for Brazil and open to the community, on Facebook and Twitch. Starting tomorrow, the registered pairs will play a series of matches throughout the month and the one that, at the end of the event, gathers the highest number of points will be awarded two POBG kits.
