Razer takes plastic from the sea and creates Kanagawa Wave clothing collection

Razer today unveils the Kanagawa Wave clothing collection. It is a limited edition clothing line made with materials created from plastic recovered from the sea. The fans will have to be quick!

The garments, decorated with a stylized interpretation of the famous work The Great Wave of Kanagawa, aim to draw attention to the issue of pollution of the oceans with plastic debris. They also aim to finance initiatives to reduce this same problem, protecting the oceans and the beings that live in them.

Here is the Kanagawa Wave clothing line

The collection will be launched on April 7, 2021 in very limited quantities. So fans who want to get their hands on the exclusive Kanagawa Wave line have to be quick to receive notification when the wave is going to break.

We recall that the last launch of a Razer clothing line, ‘A GAMING APE’, sold out in minutes. Thus, it is advised that fans register in advance so as not to lose their set.

There are several pieces of exclusive clothing from Razer

Each product in this line, which includes hoodie, t-shirt, armholes, shorts and cap, is created with high quality fabrics made from 100% recycled plastic that has been recovered from the sea.

The fabrics are manufactured as part of a more comprehensive program to remove plastic from the oceans and recycle it into useful products. This is where this new Razer Kanagawa Wave clothing line is now included.

It is a reflection of Razer’s environmental concern

Approximately 11 million tonnes of plastic end up in the oceans each year. This puts marine life in danger and silently entering the entire food chain.

To help reduce this problem, the profit from the Kanagawa Wave collection will revert to the recovery of marine plastic debris in coastal areas and for the most affected marine life in the world.

For each unit sold in this collection, Razer will finance the recovery of 1 kg of plastic marine debris.

#GoGreenWithRazer and to help save the planet

The launch of the Kanagawa Wave clothing line is the second Razer initiative with an environmental focus under the #GoGreenWithRazer banner.

The new initiative follows the success of the Conservation Program led by the Razer mascot Sneki Snek. We recall that this has exceeded the original goal of saving 100,000 trees. Now, it aims to save 1,000,000 trees.

Through these and other initiatives, Razer wants to bring together and motivate the gaming community to help preserve nature and ensure that the world remains an arena in which we can all play.

For more information about the collection, to register and receive notifications or to buy clothing as soon as it is available, you should consult the brand’s website.
