According to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, Alan Wake 2 it may be the supposed mysterious project Remedy has been working on. The information, revealed during the broadcast of the Game Mess Show this Wednesday, suggests that Epic Games has changed its attitude towards the acquisition of exclusive rights to games in order to help finance the production of the Remedy franchise. The reason behind the decision would have been a “bidding war”, where the publisher managed to convince with the best offer.
Grubb also revealed that Alan Wake 2 is ready to be “the sequel that fans of this series want”, arriving in a multiplatform format – instead of being released only for Microsoft consoles – and with great possibilities of having new generation versions.
It is worth noting that Grubb’s rumors gain more strength after statements made by Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, earlier this month, when he commented that he works on two games – including an AAA – that take place in the same universe. However, so far the companies have not commented on the game, so all information should be treated as rumors until there is an official statement.
What do you think of Alan Wake being published by Epic? Do you believe it will be a good bet? Leave your answer in the comments.
