iOS 14.5 will recalibrate the iPhones 11 battery health system – MacMagazine.com

And take news on iOS 14.5!

Shortly after the release of beta 6, today, we already heard about changes in Siri’s voices and now painted another novelty: recalibration of the battery health reporting system in iPhones 11, 11 Pro e 11 Pro Max.

In a new support article, Apple details the novelty – which “will recalibrate the maximum battery capacity and the maximum performance capacity” on iPhones 11, thus correcting “inaccurate estimates of the battery health reporting system for some users ”.

The recalibration system will apparently happen automatically, while the device is used and recharged, and a corresponding message will appear within Settings »Battery» Battery Health. The whole process could take up to a few weeks, according to Apple.

When the recalibration is successfully completed, the message will disappear from the Settings and the iPhone will show a more accurate percentage level of your battery. “The maximum performance capability can be upgraded, but that may not be perceived by most users,” says Apple.

The process may also, of course, identify battery problems. In that case, the user will see a recommendation to take their iPhone to an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Center (CSAA).
