In recent days, several Galaxy line devices have started receiving the security package for April, which contains, in addition to the traditional bug and system fixes, several extra features for new and old smartphones. The most recent to be updated were the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy A52, Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S10 line.
Overall, what’s new in next month’s update includes improvements mainly in the camera department, but corrections and new features vary depending on the smartphone and its position on the market – which affects the final quality of the photos. In addition, there are improvements to the overall performance of the system.
For example, the Galaxy S21 family is now able to shoot in Portrait Mode using all available lenses – in the past, it was only possible to use the functionality in telephoto and ultrawide lenses. Cell phones have also had post-processing improvements and bug fixes in the camera software.
The intermediary Galaxy A51 received, together with the security package of the month of April, the One UI 3.1 interface based on Android 11, without counting the Eye Comfort Shield function, which limits the emission of blue light on the screen, new effects for video calls , improvements in the camera department and, of course, a new and more polished interface.
It is worth mentioning that the updates have been robust, that is, with the files weighing just over 1 GB. In other words, all the devices that received the update have received practically the same corrections and improvements in performance, except only in the camera department, which changes according to the set of devices.
So far, all of Samsung’s premium mobile phone lines from 2019, with the exception of Galaxy Note Lite and Z Flip, have started receiving the April update. The intermediaries Galaxy A51 and A52 have also won the update. Check the list below:
Unfortunately, the Brazilian Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy S20 models are still stuck in the February security package, but the S20 Ultra has already received the March update. Currently, the S21 line sold in Brazil is the only one from the manufacturer that is getting the latest update.
