In an interview with Cruzeiro’s official YouTube channel, Rmulo admitted that he felt a little tired due to lack of rhythm. He hasn’t played an official game since June 27, 2020, when he defended Brescia in a 2-2 draw with Genoa, for the 28th round of the Italian Championship. The midfielder approved the collective performance, despite emphasizing the need for improvement in the finishes.
“It was a good game. After six months off, I made my first 30 minutes, not easy. We managed to post well in the first half, created many opportunities and scored a good goal with Sobis. In the second, we needed to pace more with the heat, we have a lot of new boys that we will still learn. When it’s hot like that, we need to hold the lead. Overall, it was a good performance. Of course, we have to improve the finishes a lot, but we will work to make it happen ”.
Rmulo believes that Cruzeiro will enter a “victorious path” in the 2021 season with a mix between young and experienced. “When we are on the pitch, it doesn’t matter if you have ten years in Europe or a game as a professional. Everyone inside has to help each other. Of course, we are looking for, within what we have learned over the years, to spend a little more tranquility, just like Fbio, Manoel, Sobis. We are mixing this experience with youth well. It has everything to be a victorious path ”.
The result obtained against Boa made Cruzeiro ease the fans’ charges for a better campaign in the state. With 11 points and in fourth place, the team returns to the field against Coimbra, at 17:30 on Wednesday, at Independência, for the eighth round. The expectation to win to raise confidence before the classic with the Atlantic, next Sunday (11), at 16h, in Mineiro.
