The winger should soon receive, as it seems today, a green light to return to work under the orders of Rúben Amorim. In fact, Gonzalo Plata, having already played for the main team this season, cannot compete for team B at this stage of the Portuguese Championship.
Relegated to the secondary team in January for not having understood with the sportinguistas responsible about his immediate future, the Ecuadorian will now have to demonstrate to Amorim that he definitely wants to conquer his space in the main squad and seize all the opportunities that will give him in these ten games that are left until the end of the season.
For the main team, Plata had 11 games; for team B he scored just five and scored two goals.
