Ivanildo Fernandes intends to continue working for Almería, where he has done the job.
Ivanildo Fernandes has been betting by coach José Gomes in the last matches of Almería and, as O GOGO learned, the central defender liked to continue his career in the Andalusian emblem, which fights for the promotion to the first division and Spain.
At 25, with his contract ending in 2022 and after successive loans, Ivanildo never felt valued or taken into account for the main Leonine team (he didn’t even make his official debut at Sporting AA), and given that he feels comfortable – on and off the pitch – at the Spanish club, his intention is to continue to grow at Almería, to definitely gain the confidence of his Portuguese coach, and to convince the club to invest in his signing.
Sporting loaned Ivanildo to the Andalusians at the start of the season, including a purchase option of around three million. Almería is in the fight for the division and the achievement of that goal will be fundamental for the final decision (as well as the player’s full affirmation in what remains of the league), because although the club does not have money problems (it is owned by Saudi Turki Al Alshikh), there are rules in Spain that limit investment.
