Yeferson Soteldo arrived in Santos at dawn this Thursday and lives the expectation of facing San Lorenzo (ARG) next Tuesday, in Buenos Aires, for the first leg of the third and final phase of the Pre-Libertadores de América.
Soteldo was in Venezuela for 17 days and found it difficult to return to Brazil after the game against Deportivo Lara on the 16th and a five-day break. There were two unsuccessful attempts, and on the third, he returned with a stopover in Panama.
Shirt number 10 will perform a covid-19 test this Thursday and await the result while training at home under club supervision. The attacking midfielder maintained his fitness during the period in his native country and is in good condition.
If he is unable to train this Friday in Atibaia, Soteldo should work with the group on Sunday, hours before the trip to Buenos Aires. The cast is off on Saturday. And the decision on the athlete’s participation against San Lorenzo will be made by coach Ariel Holan.
