Corinthians fans create petition by Fiel Torcedor entitled to vote in the election

Six months after the vote that elected Duilio Monteiro Alves to become president of Corinthians, some fans are moving by changes in the club’s electoral process. With an eye on the next election, some alvinegros started a petition to grant voting permission to members of the Fiel Torcedor plan.

The movement, created by Mario Pieroni, hopes to accumulate at least 100,000 signatures to reach Alexandre Husni, president of the club’s Deliberative Council. This Thursday morning, almost 700 people signed the term.

“It is very unfair for a club with 30 million fans to have its president and vice-president chosen based on 3 thousand active members of the social club. We have a fan partner program (Fiel Torcedor) with approximately 120 thousand members who could contribute to this choice” , says the beginning of the publication – click here to subscribe.

The supporter responsible for the petition suggests the creation of a committee to discuss the matter, create voting criteria and take the topic to the discussion. When he took office in January, Duilio said he would take the matter up for debate – since the last election the movement of fans demanding the right of the faithful supporter to vote is great.

In the last election, it is worth remembering, only 2,873 members of the club voted and the current president won the electoral race with 1,081 votes.
