What to expect from Drummond’s Lakers debut against Giannis’ Bucks
Andre Drummond will make his Lakers debut today as a starter in place of Marc Gasol, against Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks. It will be the first time Drummond has played a game since February 12, when he scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds, and made two assists in 17 minutes with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Although Drummond said he has been training and is in “great” shape, he just signed with the Lakers on Sunday and is beginning the process of getting to know his teammates and the team’s style of play.

Coach Frank Vogel is very excited and said that the player trained a lot during this period that he was out. But still, you will observe how he will perform on the court to make sure he does not exceed his limit. Vogel also said that the coaching staff will approach the player in a long-term evolution.

For Drummond, his first day of training with the Lakers was exciting on several levels.

He finally went back to playing basketball again. He is playing on a Lakers team that is trying to be an NBA champion again. He is playing with two former Detroit Pistons teammates – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Markieff Morris. And Drummond will eventually play with LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the near future.

“It was a great day,” said Drummond of his first training session. “Being on the court again after a month and a few changes was an incredible feeling for me. The guys welcomed me with open arms. I’m excited for the game. That’s right. I’m excited.”

Drummond simply being excited to make his debut, already guarantees a good game to follow soon. The team comes from two victories and the rumors of exchange have already been left behind. The time now is to focus on maintaining a balanced campaign until LeBron and Davis return to the team.
