The goalkeeper Bruno, convicted of the murder of Eliza Samudio, was hired by Araguacema, team from the first division of the Tocantinense Championship. “My people, reinforcement is coming. Welcome, ”wrote the club, in an announcement made this Wednesday by social networks.
Arrested in September 2010 for the murder of model Eliza Samudio, in addition to the kidnapping and private imprisonment of his son Bruninho, the goalkeeper was sentenced to 20 years and 9 months. However, he has been serving his sentence on a semi-open basis since July 2019 and is trying to reintegrate into professional football.
Revealed by Atltico, Bruno is 36 years old and had the main moment in his professional career for Flamengo, being Brazilian champion for the Rio club in 2009. The goalkeeper had his contract terminated with the Rio club after the case of Eliza Samudio.

Since his conviction, in March 2013, Bruno has tried to resume his professional career on several occasions. In some, he even acted, while in others he did not even enter the field.
On February 28, 2014, Bruno signed a contract with Montes Claros, at the second division of the Mineiro Championship. The goalkeeper was serving time in a closed regime and was denied permission by Justia to play for the team from the north of Minas Gerais. In 2015, Montes Claros ended its activities, but the contract with Bruno s ended in 2017.
