In 2020, Timão had revenues of R $ 474.3 million, more than 90% of which came from the professional football department (R $ 440.8 million). The rest of the amount collected came from the social club and amateur sports – see below for other years.
This amount obtained by Corinthians had three main sources of revenue: sale of players (R $ 189.2 million), broadcasting rights (R $ 160.1 million) and sponsorships and advertising (R $ 71.1 million).
It is worth remembering that this barrier of R $ 500 million in revenue has recently been surpassed by two Brazilian football clubs: Palmeiras, historic rival alvinegro, and Flamengo, which nearly doubled that in the 2019 season. All other Brazilian clubs never reached.
As it is a year of a pandemic, with almost four months of stoppage in Brazilian football, this amount of R $ 474.3 million in 2020 is seen as positive at Parque São Jorge. It is also taken into account that the amount was higher than the previous years, without interference, with the ball rolling.
Corinthians’ gross revenue in the last five years
2016 – R $ 485.5 million
2017 – R $ 455.1 million
2018 – R $ 469.9 million
2019 – R $ 426.4 million
