Sovre, a FIFA referee for the past 17 years, collects autographs and items that are later auctioned off as income for an autism center for adults in his native Romania.
According to the newspaper Gazeta Sorturilor, that was the reason why he asked Haaland to sign a yellow and red card after the Champions League match between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund.

The assistant referee has been an active supporter of the center since 2015 and has donated everything from autographs and suits he has obtained for foreign referee assignments.
The two cards that Erling Braut Haaland signed will bring money to the box office at an annual gala where other souvenirs will also be auctioned off.
Chief Justice Hauge reacts: – I like this very little
On the same day that Octavian Sovre took the storm for violating unwritten rules for how a judge should behave, he was appointed an honorary member of the organization SOS Autism Bihor.
A number of Romanian celebrities have in recent years helped the organization raise money for the operation.
The match between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund ended 2-1 despite Haaland assist in the 84th minute.
