Rio – Former Fluminense player Márcio Roberto dos Santos Ribeiro, Márcio Baby, was shot on Tuesday (6), during an attempted robbery, in Vila da Penha, North Zone of Rio.

In a note, the Military Police reported that the 41st BPM (Irajá), which covers the region where the athlete was shot, was not called in for the occurrence, but military personnel from the 16th BPM (Pottery) were called to the Getúlio Vargas State Hospital (HEGV ), where Márcio’s wife said that he suffered an attempted robbery.

Around 6:20 pm, the health unit reported that the player was being treated at the operating room. The case is being investigated by the 27th DP (Vicente de Carvalho). “The agents carry out diligences in search of images and witnesses that can help in the identification of the perpetrator of the crime,” said the Civil Police.
