Maliano from FC Porto left words of support for the French player.

Moussa Marega, a Malian striker at FC Porto, left a message on social media in support of Diakhaby, a French player from Valencia who is said to have been the target of racism in his match with Cádiz, held yesterday, Sunday.

“Strength brother. We are together. Racism off the field”, can be read in an “instastorie” posted by the player on social networks.

The 29th minute of the match was held at the Ramón Carranza Stadium, when, following a free-kick in favor of Cádiz, Cala and Diakhaby exchanged arguments within the Valencian area, subsequently leading the French central defender to cross the midfield to challenge the opponent.

After the players of both teams had separated Cala and Diakhaby, the Frenchman was cautioned with a yellow card and spent a few seconds explaining to the referee what had happened, before leaving the field, accompanied by all the “che” players, including the Portuguese Thierry Correia and Gonçalo Guedes.

The meeting was resumed after a break of about 20 minutes, without Diakhaby on the field.

Remember, Marega was the victim of an act of racism in a match with V. Guimarães, held in Minho, in February 2020.
