Seventh place in the Argentine Championship group A, which has only 13 teams, San Lorenzo has 12 games played this season: five wins, three draws and four defeats. The reporter Raphael Sibilla, Globo correspondent in Argentina, details the moment of Santos’ opponent.

– He lives in a troubled moment, with ups and downs. There is a coach with little experience in international competitions. He had a great campaign with Argentinos Juniors, qualifying the team for the group stage of the Libertadores, but accepted the challenge of commanding a great one in the pre-Libertadores.

– It is a difficult team, big, with a shirt, but it lives a troubled moment this season. At no time until now has there been signs of a solid team, which gives confidence to the fans. He has good performances, but he has also been beaten this season – explains Sibilla.

Among San Lorenzo’s weapons to pass Santos are striker Franco Di Santo, former Atlético-MG and author of five goals in the last six games, and the Romero brothers. Ángel, in fact, was successful at Corinthians from 2014 to 2018. Now, however, there has been more confusion than reasons to celebrate in the Argentine team.

– Ángel Romero arrived to be one of the stars of this team, as well as his brother Oscar Romero. But they have a lot of locker room problems. Angel Romero ended up fracturing the leg of a base player last year in training. Recently, against La U, Angel Romero goes out and discusses with the coach on the edge of the field. They have good technical quality, but they live a love-hate relationship with the fans – he says.

Santos should find on Tuesday an offensive team that comes from two victories. In the last two matches, he played for Rosário Central and Estudiantes.

– It has alternated good and bad times. Right now, it comes from two wins. You should play in a 4-3-3. The coach ends up varying the formation of the team a lot. For this game, you should probably go in a 4-3-3 – he concludes.
