“My Corinthians start was good because I started several games and participated in the Paulista title. I played Libertadores and the Brazilian a little bit, but unfortunately I had the injuries that left me out. It took almost a year and a half to come back“, said the midfielder in an interview with ESPN.com.br.
“When I came back, I think I could have had more opportunities. It was zero and good in the middle of 2019. I went to some bank games, but I barely entered”, Lamented Renê Júnior.
Last season, Renê Júnior stayed on loan at Coritiba until August, when he returned to Corinthians. The midfielder started to train separately from the rest of the squad until the end of the contract.
The player left Corinthians after the end of his contract with the club in December 2020 and since then has not been announced by a new team. Renê Júnior has been trying to stay in shape during the Covid-19 pandemic in Rio de Janeiro, his hometown.
In January of this year, the former Corinthians player filed a lawsuit against the club for late payment and bullying. In the process, the midfielder asked for R $ 8.3 million and, while the late payment relates to the payment of FGTS and lack of payment of wages while at Coritiba, bullying refers to the player’s withdrawal from team training.
