The dispute will take place in 14 states and the Federal District, where games from the State of Rio are shown. The departure of the São Paulo beach club will be shown throughout Brazil, including São Paulo, where Carioca is not shown. The expectation is for the indexes mainly in Rio de Janeiro, the second largest investment in the TV advertising market.
The games will compete because of a change in the last hour of the Record. Edir Macedo’s broadcaster gave up showing Bangu x Vasco, which took place last Saturday (3) and decided to bet on Fluminense on Tuesday. The reason was the bad indexes that the Carioca games were reaching on this day. Departures are also expected to take place on Sunday afternoon.
Record directors are optimistic and understand that, in Rio, Record must win the hearing dispute against SBT and Libertadores because of the local factor. As Santos is far from being an audience champion even in São Paulo, the expectation is that the SBT game will not reach high numbers.
The fact is curious because, until last year, SBT and Record were TVs purely for entertainment and journalism, without betting on sports because they did not believe in their audience appeal. Now, both will show football at the same time.
What also draws attention is that Globo’s two main competitors are going to put two sporting events against “BBB21”, the television program that currently resonates most on social networks and the second largest audience on Brazilian TV today – behind only the soap opera 9 pm, traditional attraction most seen in Brazil since the 1960s.
Tomorrow (6), the dispute to leave the house is between Rodolffo, Caio and Gilberto. The country singer is the most quoted to leave.
San Lorenzo x Santos at SBT starts at 9:30 pm next Tuesday, and will be narrated by Téo José. Comments will be made by Mauro Beting and former player Elano, special guest of the broadcast. Macaé x Fluminense at Record starts at 21h35 and will have a narration by Lucas Pereira, with comments by Ricardo Rocha and a presentation by Mylena Ciribelli.
