Flamengo can borrow midfield that enchanted Dome because of a close dispute with Gerson, Diego and company

Owner of the hottest squad in Brazilian football, Flamengo promotes a fierce dispute for a place in the team. With many stars, some young people ended up having to gain space outside the club. And that must happen with Richard Ríos.

The 20-year-old Colombian midfielder is integrated with the professional, as he turns 21 in June. However, despite being well evaluated, he should not remain in the squad for the season’s sequel.

According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the board’s intention is to seek a loan to shoot the boy.

Richard has a contract until June, but must renew with Flamengo to be able to be loaned to another club. He can sign a pre-contract with any club, but according to the publication, this will not happen because of the good relationship between the athlete’s staff and the club.

The midfielder is one of the players that drew a lot of attention from Domènec Torrent. Fired in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak last year, Richard got the job done when he went against the Palm Trees and earned points internally.

The athlete is seen as a good option for the future, but will hardly be taken advantage of by the strong competition with Gerson, Diego, João Gomes, Hugo Moura, Arão and Thiago Maia.

Because of this, the board sees an example that worked a short time ago: Hugo Moura. The player was little triggered in 2019 and 2020 in the professional team. In the middle of last season, he ended up on loan at Coritiba, had good performances and returned. In this beginning of the season, it has been one of the highlights of the team.

Another player who also needed to shoot to bear fruit for Flamengo was Yuri César. On loan to strength, he didn’t even return to Rio de Janeiro, as it was sold for US $ 6 million, about R $ 32 million at the time.
