Can you imagine how eager LeBron James can be to return to play?

LeBron said he woke up at night thinking about when his return to the Lakers will be.

During his 18-year career, it is difficult to remember LeBron missing long periods of time due to injuries. And it really must be difficult for him to be left out watching his team suffer on the court with nothing to do.

“Nothing bothers and saddens me more than not being available to my companions! I am hurt inside and out now, ”wrote James shortly after being injured. “The road back to recovery begins now. I’ll be right back as if I never left. ”

James has woken up at dawn for rehab

Coach Frank Vogel did not have an update on James’ condition on Sunday, saying the player remains out “indefinitely”. However, ESPN insider Dave McMenamin did shed some light on what James has been going through on his journey back.

“We are only two weeks away from ankle sprain, and what I was told is that the total recovery will be 4 to 6 weeks. But LeBron is a freak of nature and his body could respond faster. Let’s see how it goes. I was also told that he has been up at 5 am to go to rehab. ”

Davis return remains uncertain

Although James’ return date is still a bit far off, Anthony Davis is preparing to return to the court soon.

“AD keeps improving, but it’s still a long way off,” Vogel told the press ahead of Sunday’s game. “It’s just being careful to make sure that everything is happening at the right pace.”

Davis and James are due to travel with the team for a series of five road games before returning to the Staples Center on April 15. Date that marks the return of the fans to the Staples Center, in a match against the Celtics. From then until then, we will have 10 more days of rehabilitation for Davis, and it would be incredible to see the player making his comeback in a game with all this importance.

“The only certainty I can give is that we will have fans there,” said Vogel. “I can’t give you anything else. I know it’s not yet clear when he’ll be back. ”

Davis has averaged 22.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.9 stumps this season and is expected to be reevaluated this week.

Davis and James are not the only injured in the Lakers. Veteran Wesley Matthews is dealing with a neck problem, while new pivot Andre Drummond is recovering from his finger injury, but the newcomer is expected to be back in Tuesday’s game against the Raptors in Toronto.
