Corinthians are interested in Alef Manga, striker of Volta Redonda? We checked!

Alef Manga, striker of Volta Redonda, had his name linked to Corinthians in the last hours. The speculation is a consequence of his entrepreneur’s interview with ESPN Brazil, who guaranteed to have five Serie A clubs and three Serie B clubs interested in the 26-year-old.

At a certain point in the text, Corinthians is mentioned as one of the possible destinations. That was enough for Alef Manga’s photo to be published on various social network profiles that bring news / speculation / curiosities about the club. And the story spread.

The portal report My Timon, then, it was to check the possibility of this hiring with the board of Corinthians. And the information that circulates in recent days on social networks is not compatible with what the club thinks for the 2021 season.

According to people close to President Duilio Monteiro Alves, Corinthians did not make a proposal and is unaware of any interest in the striker, making it clear that the priority now is to give space to youth from the base.

It is worth remembering that, recently, other players were linked to Corinthians, such as Gilberto (Bahia), Nikão (Athletico-PR), Vina (Ceará), Pedro Rocha (Flamengo), Quiñones (Tigers, from Mexico), Gérman Cano (Vasco) and Marlon Freitas (Atlético-GO). The board did not confirm interest in any of them.
