Warner Bros. Pictures released this Saturday (3) the trailer for the new Space Jam, starring Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. Continuation of the 1996 classic, which featured Michael Jordan as the protagonist, “Space Jam – A New Legacy” will be released on July 16 this year, in theaters and on the platform of streaming HBO Max.

In this sequence, that also has an Oscar nominee Don Cheadle in the cast, LeBron and his son Dom (Cedric Joe) are accidentally trapped in Warner Bros. cyberspace. This world contains all of Warner’s characters and stories, under the control of a powerful force called Al G (Cheadle). With the help of Bugs Bunny, LeBron must traverse an unimagined world full of iconic movie scenes to bring together the Looney Tunes and rescue your son. And to return home, the star will have to end Al G’s mysterious plans by winning an epic basketball game against the digitalized superversions of the biggest NBA and WNBA stars around the world.

The cast of “Space Jam – A New Legacy”, in addition to LeBron, will have basketball personalities such as Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike and Chiney Ogwumike inserted in this nutty synopsis.

The feature is directed by Malcolm D. Lee, responsible for comedies like Scary Movie 5 e Supplementary Operation, and produced by Ryan Coogler (Creed, Creed II e Black Panther).
