The cancellation of the film New Gods upset many fans when it was announced this Thursday (1st) and, obviously, the two main names involved in the production were also not very pleased to see the end of the project. Fur Twitter, Ava DuVernay e Tom King regretted the pile-up of the feature, making their annoyance clear – check it out:

The film of New Gods would have direction from DuVernay (Condemning Eyes), who would sign the script with comic artist Tom King, who worked with these characters in the award-winning HQ Lord Miracle. Little was revealed about the plot, which would present the pantheon of characters from the Fourth World created by Jack Kirby. In addition to heroes like Orion and Lord Miracle himself, the director revealed that the film would have the presence of Darkseid and the Female Furies.
