In addition to his artist career, the superstar diligently updates on social media. Sometimes the 62-year-old shares glimpses of injuries from stage life, while other times it is something completely different.
This time, however, the artist dares to take some challenging “selfies” in just his underwear on Instagram.
Leaves little to the imagination
With its 15.7 million followers, the “Like a Virgin” singer shares three images of herself wearing a black hat, gold jewelery, high socks and minimal underwear, which leaves little to the imagination.
“And now a moment of self-reflection … Madame X,” she writes.
The sight of the world star seems to make fans stare. At the time of writing, over one million have clicked on the little red heart during the photo series.
The comment field is also full of emojis shaped like flames and red hearts.
“How is this even possible?”, Writes one fan.
“Goddess,” praises another.
“You are beautiful,” comments a third.
«62 years. Queen », it sounds from a fourth.
The artist has also caught the attention of rapper Snoop Doggs (49):
“I need you,” he writes, followed by two pink hearts.
Image editing error
The singer’s cheeky flashbacks come only shortly after she was accused of photo editing.
TikTok star Amelia M. Goldie (28) claimed that the 62-year-old stole her photo and “photoshopped” her face into the photo – so that it looks like the superstar’s body.
Madonna used the photo in question to promote the album “Rebel Heart” on Instagram in 2015. The two photos are confusingly similar, but whether the singer has actually “photoshopped” the photo, is not good to say.
Goldie told Buzzfeed that she thought it was a joke when she first saw the artist’s photo, and that she did not take it very seriously until she saw that Madonna had shared it on her official Instagram account.
– I tried to get in touch with her team twice on Instagram, but got no response. I just wanted to say that I laughed and that I was flattered, but of course I should have wished that I was credited, the 28-year-old told the website.
The possible image blemish only became known after Goldie recently shared a video on the TikTok app, in which she made her followers aware of Madonna’s almost six-year-old post.
The video obviously went viral and has received over two million views.
– If you are going to pretend that you have a different body than you actually have, you deserve to be mentioned. But there is no bad blood, the TikTok star told Buzzfeed.
