Mortal Kombat is one of the most anticipated films of the year, being a live-action adaptation that has the difficult mission of trying to overcome the curse of games, delivering a story that captivates both fans of the franchise and the general public. Now, a new preview of the film has been released, showing new scenes with Kabal, Mileena, Goro, Reptile and even Reiko.

The preview shows some scenes from behind the scenes, as well as excerpts from sequences already finished in the film. It is possible to notice several unpublished scenes that had not appeared in the first trailer, including highlights for some of the most beloved kombatants in the franchise.

Meanwhile, the team responsible for the film – and the actors – highlight how the project strives to respect the source material, deliver sequences of real and CGI-free fights.

Directed by Simon McQuoid, The history of Mortal Kombat follows an MMA fighter who does not know about his own dark origin or why he is being hunted by a clan of assassins.

The film stars the actors Joe Taslim como Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada like Scorpion, Mehcad Brooks like Jax, Josh Lawson like raiden, Play Lin como Liu Kang, Stringer side like Mileena, Jessica McNamee like Sonya Blade and Elidda Cadwell as Nitara.

In the United States, the film arrives at HBO Max in April 23rd. Already in Brazil, Mortal Kombat is scheduled to debut in May 13, 2021.
