Mortal Kombat deepens characters in new behind-the-scenes video

The new film by Mortal Kombat won a new behind-the-scenes video, which delves deeper into the characters and introduces the cast of the adaptation. The featurette, which can be seen above, includes testimonials from members such as Mehcad Brooks (Jax), Josh Lawson (Kano) e Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade), in addition to revealing unpublished passages of the feature, with emphasis on the characters of Noob Saibot, Raiden and Kung Lao.

Produced by James Wan | (from Aquaman e Deadly Games) and directed by Simon McQuoid, Mortal Kombat’s theatrical adaptation focuses on Cole Young (Lewis Tan), an MMA fighter who is hunted by the Exoterra Emperor, Shang Tsung (Chin Han), and his Sub-Zero warrior (Joe Taslim).

With the help of Sonya Blade and soldier Jax (Mehcad Brooks), Cole soon finds refuge in Lord Raiden’s temple (Tadanobu Asano), where he starts training with figures like Kung Lao (Max Huang), Liu Kang (Play Lin) e Kano (Josh Lawson) to unlock its true potential and prepare for the fight against the forces of Exoterra.

Mortal Kombat had its debut postponed to April 23rd in the United States. Here in Brazil, the film opens in Brazilian cinemas in May 13th.
