The prolonged Easter holiday was a thrill for Mrs. Valéria Martins Copelli, who took the first dose of the Coronavac vaccine against Covid-19. Crying with joy after receiving the 0.5 ml of the immunizer she commented “It is the beginning of salvation, a protection. Thank you! ”Said the elderly woman who is part of the group of people aged 68 and over who started receiving the vaccination this Saturday (3).

The action is carried out by the Municipality of Jundiaí, through the Health Promotion Management Unit, at three different vaccination points, at the Francisco Dal Santo Sports Centers (Vila Rami), Aramis Polli (Vila Hortolândia) and at Santo Antônio Parish ( Anhangabaú) and continues next week with action on the drive-thru system at Parque da Uva.

Valéria says vaccine is the lifeline

“It is important to remember that vaccination is only carried out for the elderly who made previous appointments. The registration must be performed on the APP Jundiaí digital channels or the Jundiaí City Hall website, within the groups destined to receive the doses, we follow the schedule of the State Immunization Plan (PEI). Scheduling is carried out so that we can promote the organization of doses and prevent the elderly from waiting in queues for long periods ”, explains the nurse at the Epidemiological Surveillance (VE), Maria do Carmo Possidente.

At 68 years of age, Darci Moreira Duarte took the first dose of the vaccine at CECE Francisco Dal Santo, after the appointment made by the daughter-in-law. “I was looking forward to the vaccine with anxiety due to the crisis we are in. The organization here is great, I took the dose 6 minutes before what I had scheduled ”, he praised.

Solidary vaccination

In all vaccination posts, there is a point for the donation of non-perishable food for the “Solidary Vaccination”, an initiative coordinated by the Social Solidarity Fund (Funss), which reinforces the Permanent Campaign, which was already promoted by Funss and, with the pandemic, started to reinforce the other actions of the City Hall in the fight against the disease and its socioeconomic reflexes. This work also supports the Jundiaí Cooperation Network, linked to the Government and Finance Unit (UGGF), and other Management Units of the Jundiaí City Hall, as well as the Tauste Supermercados chain, which lent metallic carts for direct support at the vaccination points of Jundiaí.

Hilda Moraes took advantage of the trip to the vaccination post and donated food for the campaign. “There are a lot of people out of work because of the pandemic, so if we can alleviate the pain of these families a little. The vaccine relieves our pain and we help these people ”, said the elderly woman.
