Vaccination campaign takes place from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Cassems of Corumbá promotes this Saturday (03), the immunization against H1N1 of its beneficiaries. The action will be carried out at the Regional Unit of Caixa dos Servidores of the municipality, and is aimed only at the beneficiaries who reserved their dose in the year 2020.

According to the institution, people who received the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 should wait 15 days before the application of the Influenza immunizer, the same goes for people who have the second dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 scheduled. According to the press office, beneficiaries who fit in both cases will have their doses reserved for when they are able to receive the vaccine against H1N1.

Caixa dos Servidores has been carrying out the vaccination campaign for public servants and their families for ten years, with the aim of reducing hospitalizations caused by Influenza virus infections. Vaccines distributed through the Unified Health System (SUS) are limited to groups considered at risk, such as children under two years of age, pregnant women and the elderly over 60 years of age. According to the advisory, with immunization aimed only at priority groups, a large part of the population is vulnerable to the virus, especially in the winter period, which is why Cassems promotes the vaccination campaign of its beneficiaries every year.

Director of Health Assistance at Cassems, Maria Auxiliadora Budib explains that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Brazil has become one of the epicenters of the disease, so taking the H1N1 vaccine is essential to avoid cross-infection. “To protect the population from pathologies that have an impact on the immune system, vaccination is essential to protect the body against infectious agents. In times of a pandemic crisis, as is currently the case with Covid-19, a campaign such as the prevention of influenza not only decreases the incidence of cases of Influenza, but also facilitates the accurate diagnosis for Covid ”, highlighted the director via advice.

The vaccination campaign takes place this Saturday (03), at the Cassems Regional Unit, at Rua Monte Castelo, 60 – Popular Velha in Corumbá, from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The vaccines will be aimed only at beneficiaries who booked the dose in 2020.
