With the arrival of new doses of vaccines against the coronavirus, a vaccination action will be carried out this Saturday, in the Municipal Park of Chimarrão. Elderly people aged 65 or over may be vaccinated in the drive-thru format, from 8 am to 4 pm. Until Friday, 2, Venâncio Aires had vaccinated 8,913 people with the first dose and 1,644 with the second, corresponding to more than 12% of its total population.
The State Government distributed yesterday the largest batch of vaccines to date, more than 645 thousand immunizers were distributed to the municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul. In Venâncio Aires, the number of doses was also the highest since the beginning of the vaccination against Covid- 19, however, most of the doses will be used for the application of the second dose of the immunizer. 3,895 doses were received, of which 3,760 were from the CoronaVac / Butatan vaccine, and 135 from Oxford / AstraZeneca.
Of the doses received from the CoronaVac / Butantan vaccine, 2,450 doses will be used for the second dose and 1,310 will be used for the first dose of the 65 and 66 year olds. As for the Oxford / AstraZeneca vaccine, 135 doses were received, intended for the first dose by professionals from the security and rescue forces.
Vaccination follows next week
Vaccination against Covid-19 will begin early next week. For Monday, 5, the vaccination of active policemen is confirmed, in the Central health post, according to lists of the Civil Police and Military Brigade. In addition, on Monday there will be vaccination of the elderly from 8 am to 12 pm, in the São Sebastião Mártir Pavilion of Events, and from 1 pm to 4 pm, in the Nossa Senhora Rainha Community, in the Coronel Brito neighborhood. On Tuesday, 6, vaccination takes place from 8 am to 12 pm, in the gymnasium of Cidade Nova and from 1 pm to 4 pm, in Santa Ana Community, in the Diettrich neighborhood.
On Monday, 5, there will be vaccination action in the Basic Health Unit (UBS) of Alto Paredão. The activity starts at 8:30 am and continues until 3 pm. The service to receive the application of the first dose requires scheduling by phone (51) 2183-0249.
