JF has over 95% occupancy of Covid beds in SUS and private network is exhausted

The intensive bed occupancy rates in the municipality remain exhausted or close to full capacity. The bulletin released by the City Hall of Juiz de Fora (PJF) this Thursday (April 1st) pointed out that the municipality registered, until 18h54, 85.83% occupancy of ICU beds in the city, adding public and private equipment. Regarding only the ICU beds of SUS Covid, 95.95% of the equipment received patients on the night of this Thursday. In private network ICUs, data indicate 104.58% of capacity.

In the wards, the SUS occupation, only for Covid cases, was 93.37%. The percentage of units in the private network is not disclosed by the Health Department.

In addition, the survey indicated 633 simultaneous hospitalizations due to the coronavirus, one more hospitalization than the one registered last Wednesday. Of the hospitalized patients, 393 patients occupied beds in wards and 220 were in intensive care beds – seven more patients in relation to the number disclosed in the previous bulletin.

Cases and deaths

This Thursday, the Municipality reported that, due to the holiday, the epidemiological bulletin of cases and deaths of Covid-19 will only be released, again, next Monday (5). Until this Wednesday (31), Juiz de Fora had recorded a total of 1,082 deaths, 24,847 cases of Covid-19 and 70,959 notifications of flu syndrome, considered suspicious for the disease, since the beginning of the pandemic.

All data in the epidemiological bulletin refer only to residents of Juiz de Fora. The balance is made available by the City Hall of Juiz de Fora (PJF) on the website covid19.pjf.mg.gov.br, created to disseminate information about the coronavirus.
