Alagoas receives 120 thousand new doses of vaccines against Covid this Thursday

This Thursday, April 1st, Alagoas receives 120 thousand new doses of vaccines against Covid-19 sent by the Ministry of Health (MS). The immunizers, which will be distributed proportionately to the 102 municipalities, arrive in the state through Latam’s Avião Solidário initiative.

This will be the 11th batch of vaccines for Alagoas, which has already received 479,860 doses since January. As last updated by the State Department of Health (Sesau), yesterday afternoon (31), 289,325 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 were applied in the state.

According to Sesau, 232,109 people are vaccinated with the first dose, and 57,216 are already immunized with the second dose. Alagoas has already received it from the Ministry of Health.

Greater distribution, says MS

According to the Ministry of Health, the largest distribution of vaccines against Covid-19 at one time is being coordinated this week since the beginning of the national vaccination campaign.

A total of 9,128,000 million doses will be sent throughout Brazil – 8,400,000 million from Coronavac, from the Butantan Institute, and 728,000 from AstraZeneca / Oxford, from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). In addition to these doses, the arrival, on Saturday (03), of 2.1 million doses of Fiocruz is expected, totaling more than 11 million.
